Well now is the time for me to tell you all about our next big competition. With the help of the guys over at GWONLINE.Biz we here at the Gaming Kingdom are going to be running a Tale of Many Gamers competition where you could win a Battle Force/Battalion Box of your choice plus £60 cash to spend at http://www.gwonline.biz/ and the best thing about it is that any one can enter and any one can win, to coin a phrase 'it could be you.'
All you have to do is plan an army, paint it over six months whilst taking pictures and keeping note of what you have been doing. Every Thursday from the 5th of Feb an article will be posted on the site featuring some of the submisions from that month featuring pictures, write ups and battle reports and then at the end of it all there will be a poll for the best army and that person will win.
So if you are intrested in registering just click on the link.
Feel free to discuss here.
Any questions or submisions please send to tofmg@yahoo.co.uk
Rules and stuff:
Although anyone and everyone is welcome to take part there are a few things that you need to know if you would like to win.
Firstly an overview of what we expect from you if you are going to take part.
1. You must paint the army yourself!
2. You must write your own log entry of at least 500 words every month and must make every effort to meet the deadlines set to allow you to be featured in the correct weeks article.
3. You must endeavour to show progress every month after the first. This means that we must receive some photographic evidence of what you have painted.
4. You must be willing to send evidence that you are doing what you say you are. E.G. you may recive an e-mail asking for you to take a picture of your WIP stuff next to something showing the date. This could be the date on a newspaper or the date displayed on sky tv. People will be selected to do this at least once a month so expect to do it at least once in the 6 months that the Tale of Gamers runs for.
5. You must be willing to allow anything you submit to be edited to fit the article that will be produced. This just allows us to format it to fit in to the PDF format that the articles will be put out in and covers all editing from format to content. We will endeavour not to change any actual context and if it is necessary then you will be contacted first with what we need to change and why.
Now what you can expect from us.
1. We will sort out all formatting of you log, pics, battle reps and army lists in to the format required for the PDF article and will provide a border for each page. If you would like any specific clips or backrounds for any piece then this must be supplied with your submission and the correct context and we will endeavour to make it work.
2. Everyone will have between 1 and 2 pages of PDF coverage per month this may be split between weekly articles as we see fit but mainly depends upon how your content is submitted to us. If you send us the minimum 500 word log and 1 pic per month we will struggle to fill your first page.
3. We will endeavour to provide what help we can with your submissions, if you have an idea and are not sure if we can do it just ask and we will see what we can do.
4. We will keep you informed as to whether you are eligible to win and if you are risking being eliminated from the competition and what you can do to avoid it.
5. We will post the poll on to the site only after a penultimate article has been posted listing everyone who is still eligible to win and featuring pics of everyones fully painted force.
The Rules.
1. You must be registered by the end of Feb.
2. You must have submitted your army list, minimum 500 word intro log and name to tofmg@yahoo.co.uk by the end of Feb.
3. You must submit subsequent 500 word minimum updates with at least one picture featuring either a WIP model/unit/army or the army in a battle report a maximum of 30 after the previous one was received.
The Small Print.
1. We are allowed to use any images and text that you send (other than ones featuring your image) in any way we see fit. This includes but is not limited to posting them on the site and in the articles for the tale of gamers.
2. The winner will have to submit his shoping list to us and the order will be placed with www.GWonline.biz for the requested battle force/battalion plus £60 worth of stock of his/her choice. If you do not spend all of the money the remainder will be sent by Paypal to your account with all fees payable by the winner. The prize is not exchangable for a cash alternative.
3. If the winner is not able to collect his prize from the club than he/she will be required to supply the club with an alternet postage address, The club will cover the cost of postage within the UK but if the winner wished the prize to be posted outside of the UK than the cost of postage will be subtracted from the £60 prize. The postage address will not be kept by the club and will only be used to complete the order for his/her prize.
4 The club is not responsible for the views of any of the people featured in the Tale of Many Gamers articles and although any text recived will be edited for foul and offensive language the views and opinions of the people featured are completely their own.
